Community Engagement

Proud To Be A Part of Rochester

Pride Plumbing has always believed that family is at the heart of everything we do. We try to give back to our Rochester community in as many ways as possible. It’s important for us to support our local non-profits, small businesses and national organizations that have local offices every chance we get.

We have supported our local community in a number of ways. From setting up our Pride Plumbing booth at YellowJacket races to creating our Aiming for a Change program that helps us donate to Rochester non-profit organizations, we are always looking for ways to be out in the community. We enjoy supporting, participating and cheering on one another, whether it’s through donations or being on the sidelines at local events.

If you have a local non-profit organization or small business in mind that you would like our help in supporting, please reach out to us. We would love to hear from you!

Aiming for a Change Program

Aiming for a Change is a Pride Plumbing Program that helps support our Rochester non-profit organizations. Once a month, Pride Plumbing employees play darts! Each employee’s points accumulate month after month until they hit 250 points (which happens pretty fast for some of our employees)! Once the employee reaches 250 points, they can choose a local non-profit that the company donates $250 to in their name.  The below organizations are all of the non-profits we have made donations to over the last few years.

NATIONAL CAMPAIGNS WITH A LOCAL IMPACT

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

Pride Plumbing has supported national campaigns that affect our local Rochester community. During the month of October, for every service call we scheduled, we donated a portion of the cost to the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester. We were able to donate $2,000 to this local non-profit in 2020 and 2021, thanks to our amazing customers!

MOVEMBER MOVEMENT

We also participated in the National Movember movement but with a local twist! Movember takes place during November to help raise awareness for men’s health. Pride Plumbing participated in an internal competition to see which employee could take the most steps throughout the month of November. Our Plumbing Service Technician, Devinn, knocked this competition out of the park! Devinn was able to win a $100 gift card, and we also donated to NAMI Rochester.

HUG A PLUMBER DAY

Throughout the entire month of May, we helped support the Joseph Groh Foundation in honor of National Hug a Plumber Day. We donated $1500 to the foundation in an effort to support individuals in the field with life altering disabilities.

PS I Love You Day

Pride Plumbing employees will be repping the color purple throughout February to support the PS I Love You Day campaign. Their mission is to “bring awareness to the importance of mental health and decrease bullying.” Show your support and wear the color purple with us every second Friday in February!
